核酸の標準構造は二重らせんですが、核酸は三重らせん、四重らせんなどの非標準構造も形成します。近年、これらの非標準構造の形成が、生体反応を調整する重要な役割をもつことが明らかになってきました。FIBERでは、細胞内の分子環境に注目し、分子環境が核酸の構造形成に及ぼす影響を解析しています。
