　On November 10, 2025 (Monday), the “International Science & Culture Exchange 2025” was held at Konan University’s Okamoto Campus.

　This lecture series is an international exchange seminar that introduces cutting-edge life science research (especially nucleic acid chemistry and nanobiotechnology) in conjunction with the cultural backgrounds of various countries.

　Lecture Title：Discovering and Harnessing the In Vivo Behavior of DNA Nanostructures for Tissue-Targeted Drug Delivery
　Lecturer：Prof. Dae-Ro Ahn（Chemical and Biological Integrative Research Center, Korea Institute of Science and Technology (KIST), Korea ）

　Professor Ahn presented on the elucidation of the in vivo behavior of DNA nanostructures, their application to tissue-specific drug delivery, and the development and research culture of nanobiotechnology research in Korea.

　 Lecture Title：A Danish Take on Nucleic Acids Chemistry and Nanotechnology
　 Lecturer：Prof. Kurt Vesterager Gothelf（Department of Chemistry and Interdisciplinary Nanoscience Center (iNANO), Aarhus University, Denmark）

　Professor Gothelf introduced research that integrates nucleic acid chemistry and nanotechnology, novel material design based on DNA and RNA, and the characteristics of Denmark’s interdisciplinary research style and research culture.

　 Lecture Title：Ribozymes Meet RNA Modifications
　 Lecturer： Prof. Claudia Höbartner（Institute of Organic Chemistry, Universität Würzburg, Germany）

　
　Professor Höbartner presented the latest research on ribozymes (catalytic RNA) and RNA modification, the molecular basis of RNA function regulation, and the tradition and innovation of organic and biochemical research in Germany.

　 Lecture Title：Nucleic Acid Therapy: A New Wave of Medicine for Better Health
　 Lecturer： Prof. Zhen Xi （College of Chemistry, Nankai University, China）

　Professor Xi presented on the cutting edge of nucleic acid therapy (DNA/RNA therapy), its potential as a new medical technology, and biomedical research and social implementation in China.

　
　This lecture provided a valuable opportunity to learn how to control nucleic acids and apply them to next-generation medicine, and its content will greatly contribute to future research activities

　We  are  pleased  to  announce  the  International  Exchange  Meeting  on Science  and  Culture  at  KONAN  INFINITY  COMMONS (affectionately known  as  iCommons). This  time, we  have  invited  distinguished researchers  from  South  Korea, Denmark, Germany, and  China  to deliver  lectures. They  will  provide  accessible  explanations  about  their respective cultures and their  latest  research. Please  feel  free to join us. Participation is free of charge. The lectures will be conducted in English.

　We  look  forward  to  the  participation  of  not  only  university  and corporate  researchers, graduate  students, and  undergraduate  students, but  also  local  residents  with  an  interest  in  science.
